Brian J. Amos, Ph.D. has represented Universities, Research Institutes and both multinational and small Corporations for over 20 years in their IP needs. Brian has published in esteemed journals such as Nature Biotechnology and in Oxford University Press on patent matters, and has been a regular webinar presenter on IP strategy and patents for both domestic and international audiences. He is experienced in working closely with counsel and technology transfer staff, and his scientific literacy is invaluable in working directly with inventors to quickly and comprehensively understand their inventions. Brian has worked with Nobel prize winners, NYIPLA Inventor of the year winners, physicians, professors and engineers, and has built up international patent portfolios that have in some cases been sold for multi-million dollar amounts. Brian graduated magna cum laude from New York Law School and also holds a PhD in Neuroscience as well as an honors degree from UCL in London, which is regularly ranked as a top ten university worldwide. His patent procurement experience ranges across lithium ion battery technology, MRI techniques, medical and diagnostic devices, surgical instruments, antibodies and immunotherapies, CAR therapies, small molecules, oncology, nucleic acid sequencing, AI & ML applied in diagnosis, blood glucose measurement systems, neuropsychiatric and neurological treatments, and vision evaluation systems & diagnostics. Dr. Amos is also an approved IP legal services vendor for National Institutes of Health’s TABA program.
