Lewis Derenzis III is a Patent Agent and Law Clerk who started working at Amster, Rothstein & Ebenstein in September 2025.
Lewis earned his J.D. from Albany Law School, summa cum laude, where he received a Presidential Scholarship. He also holds an M.S. in Data Analytics from Western Governors University and a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude, with a concentration in Computer Science from Iona College.
Lewis brings valuable experience from his work as a Legal Intern at the SUNY Research Foundation, where he focused on patent-related matters including invention disclosures, prior art searches, and drafting claims. He also previously served at Alliant Cooperative Data Solutions, where he advanced from Legal Intern to Legal Associate, gaining experience in contract review, legal research, and compliance.
