Christopher Lisiewski practices in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. He has assisted clients in obtaining, maintaining  and enforcing their intellectual property portfolios. Chris also litigates patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and unfair competition cases and counsels clients on protection of and contractual issues regarding intellectual property.

Chris's prosecution experience includes patent prosecution, foreign and domestic patent portfolio management, and filing and assisting clients in U.S. Patent Office proceedings such as appeals, re-examinations, and inter partes reviews. He is experienced in a broad range of technologies such as computer technology, business methods, block trade technology and medical software and devices. He also has experience in trademark prosecution and trademark proceedings in diverse industries such as food products and restaurants, retail clothing, industrial materials and healthcare.

Chris has been involved in several litigation matters and has assisted in all stages of disputes, ranging from pre-suit activities through appeal. His responsibilities include developing strategies and defenses, preparing pleadings, analyzing prior art, document review, and drafting dispositive motions and briefs. His appellate experience includes drafting party and amicus briefs at the Supreme Court and the Federal Circuit.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris volunteered as a legal intern for the NYS Supreme Court, Appellate Division – First Judicial Department. While there, he gained invaluable insight into the inner workings of NYS legal and court system. Mr. Lisiewski also volunteered for the Center for Prisoner Health and Human Rights at Brown University, where he worked closely with the Pretrial Services Unit of the Rhode Island state court system on the Intensive Diversion Program, aimed to divert misdemeanor offenders and reduce recidivism rates of individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues. He also worked for three years as a transactional paralegal at a private, real estate law firm before law school.

Chris holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.S. in Human Biology with Honors from Brown University. While at Brown University, he was elected as a member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Honor Society.
