Apple sues HTC over 20 US patents

Apple has sued Taiwanese company High Tech Computer Corp (HTC), the maker of Google’s Nexus One phone, in both the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the US District Court of Delaware, claiming infringement of a total of 20 patents.

Apple said in its complaints, filed on Tuesday, that HTC has infringed the patents in question by making, selling and importing into the US mobile communications devices, including devices that incorporate Google's Android Operating System.

Android is an open source operating system that was built on the Linux Kernel and developed by Android Inc. Google acquired Android in 2005.
