

David Mitnick represents a wide range of clients in all aspects of trademark, unfair competition and copyright law.
Mr. Mitnick practices primarily in the areas of trademark counseling, trademark diligence, trademark prosecution, licensing, and trademark litigation. He counsels on the clearance, application and protection of trademarks, as well as the prosecution and maintenance of trademark applications and registrations with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
He frequently advises on intellectual property matters in financial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other financial transactions. Specifically, his experience includes all aspects of due diligence with respect to trademarks and domain names, licensing transactions and assignments and maintenance of trademark portfolios and domain names in the United States.
Mr. Mitnick's practice also includes trademark prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as litigation matters in federal courts in connection with trademark infringement, unfair competition, dilution, trade dress infringement, copyright infringement and patent infringement.
He received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in International Relations with a minor in Japanese. Mr. Mitnick worked as an Associate in the Project Finance and International Finance groups of the Sanwa Bank Limited's New York Office before attending law school. He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in May 2000.
