

Benjamin Charkow practices in all areas of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent litigation. Mr. Charkow's wide-ranging patent litigation practice spans numerous technologies including software and business method patents, electromechanical devices, consumer electronics and the chemical and pharmaceutical arts.
Mr. Charkow also provides copyright and trademark counsel to the home textile industry including prosecution of trademarks and copyrights and enforcement and defense of these rights. Mr. Charkow additionally has extensive experience in conducting all aspects of intellectual property due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to attending the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, where he graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, Mr. Charkow worked for three years as an environmental engineer at Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. While in law school, Mr. Charkow served as the production editor of the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal, where his article addressing privacy concerns stemming from the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act was published.
Mr. Charkow is admitted to the New York State Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also admitted to practice before the United District Court for the Southern District of New York.
