Alan Douglas Miller concentrates on patent prosecutions and opinions in the biotechnology, biochemical, pharmaceutical, and medical arts industries. He regularly handles patent prosecutions in the United States as well as in foreign jurisdictions. Dr. Miller also advises clients on patent validity and infringement issues.
Dr. Miller received a bachelor degree in Chemistry and a M.S. degree in Biological Sciences from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. He has taught Chemistry, Biology and Earth Sciences at The Antwerp International School in Belgium. For many years, he was a faculty member at The Rockefeller University in New York City, where he received funding for research in Neuroscience from NIH, NSF, and NASA. Dr. Miller has over 100 scientific publications. He received his law degree from Fordham University in New York City.
